About the role
YJ Truck Repair Inc. is looking for a reliable truck driver to join its Edmonton team. The position involves transporting goods safely across routes, performing thorough vehicle inspections, and handling hazardous materials when required. The role offers flexible morning hours and a permanent, full‑time schedule.
Key responsibilities
- Load and unload goods efficiently while securing cargo.
- Inspect vehicle condition, including tires, lights, brakes, cold‑storage units and other equipment.
- Perform brake adjustments and routine maintenance checks.
- Conduct pre‑trip, en‑route and post‑trip inspections and complete all required paperwork.
- Transport and handle dangerous goods in compliance with regulations.
- Maintain accurate logs of mileage, fuel consumption and cargo documentation.
- Ensure vehicle cleanliness and report any mechanical issues promptly.
Required profile
- Excellent oral communication skills.
- Hardworking and patient attitude.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including mornings.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage a large workload while seated for extended periods.
