Senior Financial Analyst

About the role

The Senior Financial Analyst reports to the Senior Manager and plays a key role in the Finance team, handling monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting, audit committee materials, and investor communications. The role combines technical accounting expertise with a continuous‑improvement mindset, leveraging AI and automation to increase efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare quarterly and annual Audit Committee and Board materials, coordinating inputs across finance teams.
• Own the preparation of US GAAP annual financial statements and note disclosures with supporting working papers.
• Research and draft technical position papers on new accounting standards and complex transactions for senior management and external auditors.
• Manage monthly balance sheet, cash flow reporting, and operating metrics.
• Serve as primary liaison with external auditors, coordinating audit activities and communications.
• Identify and implement AI and automation tools to improve workflow efficiency.
• Maintain the Risk Control Matrix and support ongoing audit and compliance requirements.

Required profile

• CPA designation with 4+ years of progressive finance experience.
• Experience in a Big 4 or mid‑size public accounting firm is an asset.
• Strong understanding of internal controls and key financial risks.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent written communication for technical accounting memos.
