Senior Director, Financial Planning and Analysis

About the role

The Senior Director, Financial Planning and Analysis leads the bank’s enterprise financial planning, forecasting, performance analysis, and management reporting activities while overseeing the Financial Planning & Analysis Centre of Excellence. The role provides an integrated view of financial performance, outlook, risks and opportunities to support executive decision‑making and disciplined resource allocation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the annual budgeting, periodic forecasting and multi‑year financial planning processes, integrating business plans, economic assumptions and balance‑sheet drivers.
• Establish planning calendars, standards, controls and review forums to ensure accurate, timely and comparable submissions across the bank.
• Provide an integrated view of actual and forecast performance, including revenue, net interest margin, expenses, profitability, return on equity and capital implications.
• Lead enterprise capital forecasting, assess capital capacity and allocate capital to strategic investments, growth initiatives and acquisitions.
• Develop and present board‑ready financial narratives that translate complex analysis into concise, decision‑oriented messages for senior leadership.
• Oversee recurring management reporting and dashboards, ensuring consistency of definitions, commentary and source data.
• Establish and run the Financial Planning & Analysis Centre of Excellence, defining governance, standards, tools and capability roadmap.

Required profile

• University degree in finance, accounting, economics, business or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
• CPA or CFA designation (or equivalent recognized finance designation).
• At least 12 years of progressive finance experience, including extensive FP&A, forecasting, management reporting and executive decision support.
• Senior leadership and people‑management experience, with a track record of setting functional priorities and coaching finance professionals.
