Senior Director, Data Platform

About the role

Zynga is seeking a Senior Director to lead its centralized data platform. Based in Toronto, you will shape the product strategy for a massive cloud‑native stack that processes billions of gameplay events daily, enabling studios worldwide to harness data for AI‑driven insights.

Key responsibilities

• Define, roadmap, and execute the product strategy for Zynga’s centralized data products.
• Champion an AI‑first approach, driving adoption of advanced AI/ML capabilities across global studios.
• Lead and mentor a diverse team of ~60 professionals across North America, Israel, and India, including directors, senior managers, and product/program managers.
• Establish and maintain robust data governance and compliance frameworks for a petabyte‑scale data footprint.
• Guide the organization through change, ensuring alignment, effective processes, and measurable outcomes.

Required profile

• 15+ years of experience in data or software engineering.
• 8+ years of experience leading and scaling engineering organizations, with direct management of managers.
• Proven ability to develop and execute product strategy for large‑scale data platforms.
• Strong track record of driving AI adoption and fostering data‑driven cultures.
• Excellent communication skills to partner with studio leaders, central teams, and executives.
