Senior Accounting Manager

About the role

Waabi is a leader in Physical AI, building autonomous transportation solutions for commercial trucks and robotaxis. The Senior Accounting Manager will lead the monthly, quarterly and annual close processes while driving AI‑enabled automation across the finance function.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process.
• Manage consolidation of financial statements across entities.
• Prepare and review US GAAP financial statements.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of general ledger activity.
• Automate accounting processes using AI, including consolidation, statement preparation, close, reconciliations, and reporting workflows.
• Identify and implement AI‑driven efficiencies to reduce manual work and improve accuracy.
• Partner cross‑functionally to improve systems, data flow, and reporting.
• Support audit processes and maintain audit‑ready documentation.
• Handle additional ad‑hoc projects and responsibilities as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 5+ years of accounting experience in public accounting and/or industry.
• Strong experience in general accounting, consolidation, and financial reporting.
• Deep understanding of US GAAP and ability to draft technical accounting memos.
• Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks or NetSuite and advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Demonstrated ability to leverage AI‑powered tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude) to automate repetitive tasks.
• Basic coding and scripting skills (e.g., Python) for building simple automations.
• Open‑minded, collaborative team player willing to help others.
