Security Analyst

About the role

Power Digital, an AI-native growth firm, is hiring a Security Analyst to protect its systems, data and client information. The role monitors for threats, investigates incidents and works cross-functionally with IT and engineering to keep the security posture strong. It is open to remote candidates in several countries.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor security systems, logs and alerts to detect, investigate and respond to threats and incidents
• Run vulnerability scans and assessments, then coordinate remediation with IT and engineering teams
• Maintain and improve compliance with security frameworks and certifications, including SOC 2
• Use AI technologies to enhance and optimize business processes
• Leverage Power Digital's Nova ecosystem for the department
• Support security awareness training and phishing simulation programs
• Review overnight alerts, close weekly remediation tickets, check in with IT and engineering on ongoing incidents, prepare audit documentation and review phishing results

Required profile

• 2+ years of experience in information security, IT security or a related analyst role
• Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as SOC 2, GDPR or CCPA
• Strong written communication skills to document incidents and explain risk to non-technical teams
• Ability to prioritize and stay calm under time pressure during active incidents

• Security monitoring tools, SIEM platforms and endpoint detection systems
• Network fundamentals, cloud environments (AWS, GCP or Azure) and common attack vectors
