Red Seal Automotive Service Technician (Journeyperson)

About the role

We are looking for a Red Seal Automotive Service Technician (Journeyperson) to diagnose, service and repair vehicles for our growing customer base. The successful candidate will work independently while contributing to a supportive, high‑performing service department.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and perform high‑quality vehicle maintenance and repairs.
• Communicate repair needs and recommendations clearly with Service Advisors.
• Complete detailed repair stories including complaint, cause, and correction.
• Verify parts for accuracy prior to installation.
• Maintain a high standard of workmanship, organization, and shop safety.
• Mentor and support apprentices and junior technicians.

Required profile

• Red Seal Automotive Service Technician (Journeyperson) certification.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Strong experience in mechanical and electrical diagnostics and repair.
• A/C license (asset).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship.
• Ability to thrive in a busy, well‑structured shop environment.
• Self‑motivated with the ability to work independently.
