Quality Inspector

About the role

The Quality Inspector ensures that all final products meet established quality and safety standards. This role involves performing routine inspections, documenting results, and driving continuous improvement in inspection methods and documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Execute incoming and final product inspections and log results in the system.
• Review mill certifications for product conformance and maintain certification records.
• Complete Material Return Notices (MRN) for returned items and establish product identity during inventory.
• Perform Pre‑Production Approval (PPAP) inspections for new suppliers.
• Generate Corrective Action Reports (CAR) for non‑conformances and notify buyers, coordinators, or designers.
• Sort critical deviations when time‑critical and attend material review and board meetings.
• Conduct product testing and other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, material certificates, safety rules, and procedure manuals.
• Strong written communication skills for routine reports and correspondence.
• Effective verbal communication, including speaking before groups of employees.
• Capability to calculate proportions, percentages, areas, circumferences, and volumes using basic algebra and geometry.
• Self‑motivated, able to work independently in a warehouse environment with moderate noise levels.

Required skills

• Proficiency with calipers, height gauges, depth gauges, and basic inspection instruments.
• Competence in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
