Operations Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead and optimise the delivery of projects across our Canadian studios. The role will ensure consistent project delivery standards, improve commercial performance and enable design teams to operate efficiently at scale.

Key responsibilities

• Lead national operations for Canada, aligning two studios with global and regional strategy.
• Establish a consistent framework for project initiation, budgeting, scheduling and reporting.
• Monitor operational performance, identify risks early and intervene with Project Principals.
• Implement project controls for scope, change orders, fee tracking, resource allocation and risk mitigation.
• Develop and roll out standardised SOPs for delivery, documentation, QA/QC and financial controls.
• Drive adoption of operational tools such as Deltek Vision/Vantagepoint and resource‑planning systems.
• Partner with Finance to improve revenue forecasting, utilisation, WIP/AR management and margin performance.
• Support project teams in creating accurate proposals, fee structures and work plans while ensuring commercial discipline.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading operations across multiple studios or locations.
• Ability to work closely with practice leadership, finance, HR and project principals.
• Strong analytical and commercial acumen with a focus on predictable outcomes.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
