Model-Based Systems Engineer (MBSE) – Remote / On-site Opportunity

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Model-Based Systems Engineer (MBSE) to support the development of advanced satellite systems using modern digital engineering practices. The role involves developing system architectures, creating model‑based artifacts, and supporting spacecraft commissioning and Launch and Early Orbit Phase (LEOP) activities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain system architectures using MBSE methodologies.
• Create and manage SysML models with Cameo Systems Modeler.
• Perform functional decomposition and ensure end‑to‑end requirements traceability.
• Support digital engineering initiatives throughout the system development lifecycle.
• Develop and maintain Concept of Operations (CONOPS) documentation and system behavior models.
• Support spacecraft commissioning and Launch and Early Orbit Phase (LEOP) activities.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure mission readiness.
• Participate in architecture reviews, trade studies, and technical design reviews.
• Assist with systems integration, verification, validation, and operational readiness.
• Prepare engineering documentation and communicate technical recommendations.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience with Model‑Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
• Hands‑on experience with SysML, Cameo Systems Modeler, functional decomposition, and requirements traceability.
• Experience supporting Launch and Early Orbit Phase (LEOP) operations, spacecraft commissioning or routine satellite operations.
• Strong understanding of systems engineering principles and digital engineering methodologies.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
