Lead STEM Instructor – Fall (Multiple Locations)

About the role

Join MakerKids this fall as a Lead STEM Instructor, guiding children aged 6‑13 through hands‑on technology projects across multiple locations in the Greater Toronto Area. You will lead after‑school and weekend classes that explore coding, robotics, and game‑based learning using tools such as Micro:bit, Scratch, and Minecraft.

Key responsibilities

• Teach engaging STEM classes in coding, robotics, and Minecraft, adapting lessons for beginners to advanced learners.
• Lead project‑based learning using platforms such as Scratch, Python, Roblox Studio, Unreal Engine, and Unity.
• Create a positive, inclusive environment and communicate student progress to parents.
• Travel between three in‑person sites (Mississauga, Bloor, Leaside) and occasional off‑site venues.

Required profile

• Student or recent graduate in a STEAM field.
• Previous experience working with children (tutoring, camps, coaching, teaching).
• Creative, energetic, and enthusiastic about making tech education fun.
• Legally entitled to work in Canada and able to obtain First Aid/CPR certification.
