Information Management Analyst

About the role

ICES is seeking an Information Management Analyst to join its Data Quality and Information Management department. The analyst will work in a SAS/Linux environment to import, clean, validate, and document large health‑services data sets while adhering to strict privacy and security standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform data cleaning, validation, and documentation according to ICES standards, and execute secure data destruction when required.
• Encode direct personal identifiers, manage data ingestion, and prepare datasets for the Linux‑based ICES environment.
• Develop and run SAS programs to convert administrative and study data into analysis‑ready SAS datasets, including thorough testing and quality control.
• Collaborate with technology teams, research managers, and external partners to resolve data issues and communicate status updates.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, biostatistics, or a related field.
• Minimum three years of relevant experience in data management or analysis.
• Strong understanding of data privacy, confidentiality, and security practices.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams.
