Industrial Process Engineer – Pulp & Paper (Mid‑Senior)

About the role

We are seeking an Intermediate to Senior Industrial Process Engineer to join our growing industrial team in Fredericton, NB. The position focuses on pulp and paper, forestry and tissue manufacturing processes, providing technical leadership throughout project delivery and client development.

Key responsibilities

• Lead process engineering assignments for pulp and paper, forestry, tissue and other industrial facilities.
• Develop and review process flow diagrams (PFDs), P&IDs, mass and energy balances, and technical reports.
• Support feasibility studies, process optimisation, plant expansions, modernisation and operational improvement projects.
• Provide construction, commissioning and startup support to ensure successful project execution.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to business development activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Process or Mechanical Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation or eligibility.
• 7+ years of experience in industrial process engineering, especially pulp and paper or related sectors.
• Proven ability to work with multidisciplinary teams and manage client relationships.

Required skills

• Creation of Process Flow Diagrams (PFD) and Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID).
• Mass and energy balance calculations and process modelling.
• Equipment selection and process optimisation techniques.
• Execution of feasibility studies and plant assessments.
• Preparation of technical reports and documentation.
