Flight Test Engineer Instructor – Rotary & Fixed Wing

About the role

The Flight Test Engineer Instructors will be responsible for participating in flight test and instructional duties. Reporting to the Chief Flight Test Engineer Instructor, the FTEIs will be key members of our instructional staff. These client‑facing positions require preparation, enthusiasm, and a desire to mentor the next generation of flight test professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in ground and flight tests of aircraft.
• Develop and conduct computer simulations of aerospace vehicles, systems and components using advanced mathematical modelling.
• Create operational specifications and manuals.
• Deliver academic courses using appropriate instructional techniques and equipment.
• Mentor students, supervise and assess their progress, and provide remedial teaching as needed.
• Travel occasionally for programs and industry involvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Graduate of a recognized graduate flight test engineer course.
• 5+ years of flight test program experience.
• Master’s degree or doctorate in a related engineering discipline may be required.
