About the role
We are looking for a reliable Fish Processor to join our Vancouver facility. The role involves handling, cutting, and preparing fish and seafood for packaging and distribution.
Key responsibilities
- Cut, clean, trim, and weigh fish fillets according to specifications.
- Unload fish and shellfish from vessels and transport them manually or with a forklift.
- Operate machines for cutting, cooking, smoking, brining, dehydrating, and packaging.
- Inspect fillets to determine optimal size and number, and sort by species, weight, and destination.
- Package fish in ice, bags, boxes, or cans and record weights.
Required profile
- 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in fish processing or a similar production environment.
- No formal degree required; on‑the‑job training provided.
- Relocation costs covered by the employer.
Required skills
- Forklift operation.
- Machine operation for cutting, cooking, and packaging equipment.
