Financial Controller – Manufacturing

About the role

We are seeking a hands‑on Financial Controller to lead the accounting and finance function for a growing Canadian manufacturing company. The role blends day‑to‑day accounting ownership with strategic finance responsibilities, reporting directly to senior leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Own the full‑cycle accounting function across the Canadian operation.
• Oversee month‑end close, reconciliations, cash‑flow management and transactional accounting.
• Develop and maintain robust financial controls and ensure compliance with Canadian GAAP.
• Prepare, review and analyze financial statements and performance reports.
• Build financial models to support acquisitions, budgeting, forecasting and strategic investment decisions.
• Partner with executive leadership to provide insight for major business decisions.

Required profile

• Proven experience in full‑cycle accounting and financial reporting, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable recommendations.
• Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and influence senior leaders.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Professional accounting designation (CPA or equivalent) is preferred.
