About the role
Raising The Village is entering a critical phase of multi‑country scale and needs a senior operator to build the systems that keep program quality and impact consistent as we grow. The Director of Applied Learning will lead the design and implementation of scalable processes, ensuring outcomes remain reliable across diverse contexts.
Key responsibilities
- Define and maintain global program standards, distinguishing fixed elements from adaptable ones, and partner with program and country teams to ensure consistent implementation.
- Establish and track program quality metrics, create feedback loops, and drive corrective actions when gaps appear between design and execution.
- Integrate data, field learnings, and research to produce actionable insights, and build a systematic experimentation process that feeds pilots and tests back into the model.
- Develop onboarding materials, guides, and training resources that accelerate new team effectiveness, and create knowledge systems that capture institutional knowledge for easy access.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with Program, Data/Product (Venn), and Planning teams to translate insights into usable guidance and embed learning into digital tools used daily by field staff.
Required profile
- 10+ years of experience in international development, social impact, or a related field.
- Proven track record building systems that enable scaling without loss of quality, including experience across multiple countries.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and teaching skills, with the ability to explain complex program logic to diverse audiences.
- Highly independent, resourceful, and resilient in ambiguous environments, with demonstrated change‑management and cross‑cultural leadership abilities.
- Alignment with Raising The Village values: performance‑driven, adaptive, curious, bold, and inclusive.
What we offer
- Salary range $120,000 – $150,000 per year.
- Group RRSP matching up to 5%.
- Comprehensive health benefits (medical, dental, vision, travel).
- 20 days of vacation.
- Flexible hybrid work environment (3 days onsite, 2 days remote).
