Cloud Platform Engineer

About the role

The Cloud Platform Engineer is responsible for all aspects of our Kubernetes and Docker container environment. You will provide production support, administration, testing and documentation of cloud technologies, tools and continuous delivery pipelines. The role ensures incidents are triaged quickly to minimise business impact while collaborating with IT administrators and vendors.

Key responsibilities

• Create, implement and manage cloud deployments using Kubernetes and Docker.
• Provide operational management of the cloud platform, including monitoring, disaster recovery, security compliance, networking and storage.
• Develop automation for configuration and deployment to improve platform availability and manageability.
• Set up administrator and service accounts, maintain documentation and troubleshoot issues.
• Develop performance indicators, monitor systems and recommend improvements to management.
• Maintain primary and disaster‑recovery sites and coordinate with development and support teams.

Required profile

• College diploma in computer science or equivalent; a Bachelor’s degree is an asset.
• 5+ years of IT experience, including 2+ years of hands‑on cloud deployments to Azure, AWS or GCP.
• 2+ years of enterprise‑scale Kubernetes and Docker experience and 1–2 years of DevOps practice.
