Casual General Labourer

About the role

The Town of Bishop’s Falls is seeking casual General Labourers to join its Public Works and Recreation Departments. These employees work on an on‑call basis, providing support for infrastructure maintenance, traffic control, stadium operations and community recreation activities.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain town infrastructure, including water, sewer and road systems (e.g., water line breaks, sewer issues, pothole repairs).
• Perform traffic control duties as needed.
• Cut brush, clean ditches and perform other ground‑maintenance tasks.
• Provide security, clean facilities, operate the ice resurfacer and manage user‑group invoicing at Pat O’Reilly Memorial Stadium.
• Mow grass, maintain flower beds, assist with civic events and clean recreation facilities throughout the town.

Required profile

• Valid Class 5 driver’s licence.
• Traffic control certification (Level 1) is considered an asset.
• Availability for casual, on‑call work with no guaranteed minimum hours.
