About the role
Celestica is seeking an entry‑level US Tax Analyst to support tax accounting and compliance for its U.S. operations. You will work under general supervision, preparing tax schedules, journal entries, and assisting with tax reporting across multiple jurisdictions.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in preparing corporate income tax returns, U.S. state and local tax returns, and related compliance documents.
- Prepare basic journal entries, perform ledger analysis, and reconcile tax‑related accounts.
- Collect and organize financial data for tax reporting; review system reports for accuracy.
- Support the design and build‑out of tax forecasting models.
- Gather documentation for internal and external tax audits.
- Follow established tax procedures and maintain accurate records.
- Identify basic discrepancies in tax data and escalate when needed.
- Collaborate with accounting, finance, and cross‑functional teams; prepare reference materials.
Required profile
- Recent graduate or early‑career professional with a degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or related field.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset.
- Ability to work on well‑defined tasks under supervision.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
Required skills
- Preparation of tax schedules and basic journal entries.
- Ledger analysis and account reconciliation.
- Data collection and review for tax reporting.
