Trust Accounting & Treasury Manager

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Trust Accounting & Treasury Manager to lead our client’s trust accounting operations and treasury functions. The role ensures regulatory compliance, optimizes cash flow, and supports the firm’s overall financial health.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and reconcile all client trust accounts in line with regulatory and professional standards.
• Review, approve, and monitor trust transactions, disbursements, and transfers.
• Prepare trust‑related reports for internal and external audits and ensure timely month‑end and year‑end reconciliations.
• Develop and improve trust accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Manage daily cash positioning, liquidity forecasting, and cash‑flow reporting.
• Oversee banking operations, including wire transfers, EFTs, and online banking administration.
• Maintain banking relationships and support treasury negotiations.
• Assist with treasury strategy, short‑term cash planning, and risk‑management initiatives.
• Support implementation and optimization of treasury management systems.
• Supervise and mentor accounting/treasury team members and collaborate with finance, legal, compliance, and operations teams.

Required profile

• 5+ years of progressive accounting and treasury experience, preferably in a professional services or law‑firm environment.
• Strong knowledge of trust accounting regulations and compliance requirements.
• Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
