Truck and Transport Technician – Peterbilt

About the role

Brandt is looking for a skilled Truck and Transport Technician to join its Peterbilt service centre in Saskatoon. The role involves diagnosing, repairing and maintaining a variety of heavy‑duty vehicles including trucks, trailers and buses within a shop environment.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect and evaluate the condition of on‑road equipment, then diagnose and perform disassembly/assembly as needed.
• Carry out repairs and preventive maintenance on trucks, trailers and buses using appropriate tools and safety procedures.
• Document all work performed, parts used and time spent on work orders accurately.
• Utilise computer applications and information systems to record maintenance, inspections and diagnostic results.
• Collaborate with equipment engineers to address warranty issues and ensure compliance with warranty requirements.
• Conduct road tests to verify repairs and confirm vehicle readiness.
• Maintain a safe work environment by continuously assessing hazards and following accepted standards.

Required profile

• Experience working on heavy‑duty trucks, trailers or buses in a shop setting.
• Ability to follow technical manuals and service bulletins.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Good communication skills for documenting work and interacting with engineers.
