Temporary HR Assistant (May 28 – June 5)

About the role

We are looking for a temporary HR Assistant to provide in‑office support in Edmonton during a short coverage period from May 28 to June 5. The role offers paid training days to ensure a smooth hand‑off and is ideal for someone seeking practical HR experience in a supportive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Post job openings and screen candidates using Indeed.
• Schedule interviews and coordinate with applicants.
• Assist with onboarding paperwork and enter employee data into the UKG payroll system.
• Support benefit enrolment administration and general HR data entry.
• Prepare employment offer letters and related documentation.
• Provide general HR and administrative assistance as needed.

Required profile

• Previous experience in HR support or administration is preferred.
• Completion of an HR degree, diploma or certificate.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Reliable and available for the full coverage period.

Required skills

• Experience using Indeed for recruiting.
• Familiarity with the UKG payroll system.
