Technician II – Packaging Operations

About the role
The Technician II supports the continuous supply of components and bulk product to packaging lines in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. You will operate filling and packaging equipment safely, ensure compliance with cGMP and SOPs, and perform changeovers and troubleshooting to maintain product quality.
Key responsibilities
- Perform mechanical setup, calibration, and adjustment of automated filling systems during product changeovers.
- Replace and maintain mechanical components such as O‑rings, valves, pumps, and nozzle assemblies.
- Conduct detailed mechanical troubleshooting of container‑closure, folding stations, tube holders, and related equipment.
- Change embossing/coding blocks for labels and cartons according to packaging work orders.
- Set up, monitor, and adjust secondary packaging equipment (cartoner, labeler, case packer, bander, etc.) and change parts as required.
- Assist mechanics with preventive and corrective maintenance tasks.
- Monitor and adjust fill weights to minimise over‑fill.
- Assemble and disassemble fillers, manifolds, tube holders, and supply pumps.
- Configure process parameters via HMI interfaces, including program selection and recipe management.
- Install, align, adjust, and replace mechanical components such as pumps, valves, pistons, conveyors, and dosing systems.
- Dismantle, inspect, overhaul, and re‑assemble machinery to maintain operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to resolve complex mechanical issues and conduct routine inspections.
Required profile
- Experience working with mechanical equipment in a pharmaceutical or regulated manufacturing setting.
- Knowledge of cGMP, SOP compliance, and safe work practices on packaging lines.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to read work orders and packaging specifications.
- Attention to detail and accurate documentation of equipment changes and maintenance activities.
