Structured Cabling Technician II

About the role

Paladin Technologies is seeking experienced low‑voltage technicians to join the team as Structured Cabling Technicians II. You will work on large‑scale data, AV, and CCTV installations, interpreting blueprints and bills of materials to deliver high‑quality cabling solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Install and service data, audio‑visual, and CCTV cabling infrastructure, including pre‑wiring, termination, labeling, testing and reporting.
• Install network racks and cabinets in server rooms and other environments.
• Interact professionally with customers and prospects, handling inquiries and providing support.
• Follow Bosch Building Technology’s quality and safety programs and complete required documentation (OHS checks, packing slips, checklists, as‑builts, test results).
• Work night shifts, travel, and overtime as project needs dictate.
• Perform additional duties as required to ensure client satisfaction.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of experience in structured cabling installation and servicing.
• Experience pulling, terminating, and testing Cat5/6 and fiber‑optic cables.
• Experience installing racks, cabinets, and other low‑voltage systems (CCTV, access control, AV, wireless, unified communications, nurse call, RTLS).
• Post‑secondary education in electrical, telecommunications, electronics, or equivalent is an asset.
• Ability to work at heights, lift up to 50 lb, and hold a clean driver’s licence.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, strong problem‑solving skills, and ability to pass a background check.
