Strategic Finance Lead – Compute (Central)

About the role

Anthropic is looking for a Strategic Finance Lead to own the consolidated financial view of its compute infrastructure organization. The role will centralise finance across accelerators, cloud spend, direct infrastructure, datacenters and data partnerships, providing a single, defensible narrative for leadership and the board.

Key responsibilities

• Consolidate and drive the financial review cadence across all compute finance pillars into a unified narrative for finance and compute leadership.
• Manage the compute finance contribution to board materials and executive reviews.
• Own and maintain dashboards, recurring content and reporting infrastructure, ensuring accuracy and reconciliation.
• Integrate financial models across the compute finance team into a full three‑statement view.
• Own the calendar and cadence between Compute Finance and Corporate FP&A for close, forecast, budget and long‑range planning handoffs.
• Run the team operating rhythm, including meeting agendas, sprint cadence, deliverable tracking and cross‑pillar coordination.
• Maintain the planning‑system footprint, datasets, sources of truth and pipelines into corporate systems.
• Ensure model hygiene, version control and central organisation of team financial models.

Required profile

• Experience in FP&A, strategic finance, finance operations, consulting or investment banking, preferably in a multi‑business‑unit or infrastructure‑heavy environment.
• Proven track record building or running consolidation, allocation or planning processes across multiple finance owners.
• Exceptional analytical ability to reconcile complex models into a single defensible view.
• Strong process design instincts and ability to drive operating cadence.
• Excellent written communication skills, comfortable producing board‑ and executive‑level materials.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally and explain complex financial information to non‑finance audiences.
• Bias towards action, strong work ethic and experience delivering under tight timelines.
