Senior Mobile Applications Architect (React Native)

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Applications Architect to lead the design and delivery of enterprise‑grade mobile applications for a public‑sector client in Toronto. The role focuses on building secure, scalable iOS and Android solutions using native technologies and hybrid frameworks, primarily React Native and TypeScript.

Key responsibilities

• Define and own the architecture, technical specifications, and delivery roadmap for mobile applications.
• Lead development teams to produce high‑quality iOS and Android apps that meet enterprise security and scalability standards.
• Establish CI/CD pipelines, automated testing frameworks, and deployment processes.
• Collaborate with product, UX, security, and platform teams to ensure seamless integration and alignment with business goals.
• Produce comprehensive technical documentation, including architecture artefacts and developer guides.

Required profile

• 5+ years of hands‑on experience with React Native.
• 4+ years in a lead developer or technical leadership role.
• Proven ability to manage teams and coordinate with stakeholders.
• Experience designing mobile apps with native technologies (Swift, Objective‑C, Java) and hybrid frameworks (React Native, TypeScript).
• Knowledge of Secure Enclave, Trusted Execution Environment, or StrongBox is a plus.
• Familiarity with cloud‑native environments such as Docker and Kubernetes is advantageous.
