Senior Manager, Operations

About the role

The Senior Manager, Operations leads the administrative side of Student Health and Wellbeing at UBC’s Point Grey campus. This senior position ensures that health services are delivered efficiently, with a strong focus on student experience and provider support.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee business operations across Counselling Services and Student Health Service locations.
• Drive process improvements, operational excellence, planning, procurement and service delivery.
• Lead a team of 20+ administrative staff, handling recruitment, orientation, training and performance management.
• Develop and maintain policies, protocols and procedures that impact the entire health service.
• Collaborate with senior leadership, providers, students and external stakeholders to continuously improve operations.
• Manage facilities, information systems for student electronic health records, and provider support functions.

Required profile

• Significant experience in operations management within health or student services.
• Proven leadership of large administrative teams.
• Strong understanding of procurement, facilities management and process optimisation.
• Ability to develop policies and drive continuous improvement.
• Student‑centric mindset with excellent stakeholder collaboration skills.
