Join a highly respected and rapidly growing leader in the property management industry. We are seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Senior Corporate Accountant to play a pivotal role within our corporate accounting team in Edmonton, Alberta.

Missions principales

• Lead the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with ASPE/IFRS standards.
• Direct month-end and year-end closing processes for corporate entities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
• Manage complex inter-company transactions, eliminations, and balance sheet/P&L account reconciliations.
• Support corporate budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow reporting initiatives.
• Act as the primary point of contact for external auditors and prepare comprehensive audit files.
• Collaborate with external tax advisors to ensure corporate tax compliance.
• Drive internal controls, accounting policy adherence, and continuous process improvement initiatives.
• Play a key role in ERP-related projects and system reporting enhancements.
• Provide mentorship and professional guidance to junior accounting staff.

Profil recherché

• Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a multi-entity environment.
• CPA designation (or currently pursuing) is highly preferred.
• Strong technical expertise in ASPE or IFRS standards.
• Proven ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with strict deadlines.
• Exceptional attention to detail and analytical mindset.

Competences requises

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (daily use).
• Experience with Yardi software (highly advantageous).
• Expertise in financial reporting and consolidation.
• Strong understanding of corporate tax and audit procedures.
• Leadership and mentoring capabilities.
