Seasonal Labourer

About the role

Denison is hiring a Seasonal Labourer to provide general field and maintenance support at closed mine sites in the Elliot Lake area. The role involves outdoor fieldwork, equipment operation, and site upkeep over a 4‑month contract.

Key responsibilities

• Support vegetation management, including brush removal and herbicide application.
• Perform general site upkeep such as road, building, and field maintenance.
• Operate and maintain hand tools, power tools, and light mobile equipment.
• Complete inspections, logbooks, field documentation, and safety paperwork.
• Assist with field monitoring and environmental maintenance activities.
• Follow health, safety, environmental, and operational procedures.
• Collaborate with internal teams and contractors on site activities.

Required profile

• High school diploma.
• 1‑2 years experience in mining, industrial, or outdoor labour environments.
• Valid Ontario Herbicide Applicator Certification or ability to obtain it.
• Reliable, safety‑focused, adaptable and able to work independently or in a team.
• Valid driver’s licence in good standing.
• Ability to perform physically demanding outdoor work in varying weather conditions.

Required skills

• Herbicide Applicator Certification (Ontario).
• Operation of hand tools, power tools, and light mobile equipment.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.

What we offer

• 4‑month contract ending September 30.
• Hourly pay ranging from $22 to $25 CAD.
