About the role

Join a locally owned Shoppers Drug Mart store in Parry Sound as a Regulated Pharmacy Technician. You will support the pharmacist in dispensing prescriptions, handling compliance packaging, and delivering excellent customer service while maintaining strict privacy and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Greet customers, gather prescription information, and refer clinical questions to the pharmacist.
• Accurately dispense, count, measure, package, and label prescription medications.
• Process third‑party billing, adjudicate claims, and manage manual accounts.
• Maintain the cash register, handle cash‑out transactions, and ensure accurate documentation.
• Receive new and repeat prescription orders, prepare them according to SOPs, and enter data into pharmacy systems.
• Manage incoming faxes, answer phones, and file completed documentation securely.

Required profile

• Registered with the provincial pharmacy technician licensing college.
• Diploma from an accredited Pharmacy Technician program.
• Previous pharmacy experience preferred.
• Strong organizational ability, multitasking skills, and attention to detail.

Required skills

• Proficiency with pharmacy dispensing software.
• Experience with third‑party billing and adjudication systems.
• Accurate data entry and prescription workflow management.
