About the role

Join Seaboard Transport Group as a Rail Terminal Operator in Grande Prairie, AB. This full‑time, hands‑on position involves outdoor work handling rail‑to‑truck transloading and operating specialized yard equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Operate yard equipment such as rail car openers, hydraulic jacks, loaders and hand tools.
• Load and unload dry or liquid bulk products from railcars to trucks and assist drivers with off‑site deliveries.
• Follow rail safety procedures, including opening/closing railcars, track access and flag requirements.
• Weigh trucks on the scale, complete accurate scale tickets, and record measurements.
• Perform facility upkeep tasks including housekeeping, grass cutting, snow removal and minor repairs.
• Work independently after training, adhering to safety protocols and participating in toolbox talks.

Required profile

• Positive attitude and team‑oriented mindset.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Reliability, punctuality and a valid Class 5 driver’s licence with reliable transportation.
• Physical stamina and a strong work ethic; mechanical aptitude is a plus.

Required skills

• Operation of rail car openers.
