Quality Supervisor

About the role

The Quality Supervisor will support the implementation and maintenance of quality systems for cannabis manufacturing. Reporting to the Director of Quality and Compliance, the role ensures product safety, efficacy, and regulatory compliance through GMP, HACCP, and related standards.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret and apply the Cannabis Act, Health Canada regulations, and EudraLex requirements.
• Develop, implement, and maintain quality programs such as HACCP, GMP, GACP, and GPP.
• Conduct production, process, and analytical testing according to SOPs.
• Perform internal and external quality audits, including plant, product, waste, and vendor evaluations.
• Manage the Quality Management System, handling complaints, non‑conformances, deviations, CAPA, and supplier corrective actions.
• Investigate client concerns, determine root causes, and coordinate corrective actions.
• Prepare audit documentation, corrective action plans, and regular APQR/MRT reports.
• Guide, train, and mentor QA/QC team members to ensure continuity of supervision.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of the Cannabis Act, Health Canada regulations, and GMP standards.
• Experience in quality assurance within regulated manufacturing environments.
• Ability to lead audits, risk assessments, and corrective‑preventive action processes.
• Proven capability to mentor and coordinate QA/QC personnel.
