Provincial Relief Pharmacist (Full-Time)

About the role

Safeway Pharmacy is seeking a full‑time Provincial Relief Pharmacist to provide patient‑centered care across its Calgary locations. You will work scheduled shifts throughout the province, delivering high‑quality pharmacy services and supporting the health of our communities.

Key responsibilities

• Perform pharmacy shifts across the province, demonstrating empathy and professionalism.
• Provide patient counseling, education, and tailored therapy guidance.
• Initiate and follow up on care plans, ensuring accurate documentation.
• Participate in disease‑state management, medication reviews, health‑risk assessments, and administer injections/vaccines.
• Collaborate with colleagues and engage in Fusion initiatives for seamless patient experiences.
• Prioritize prescription safety and supervise pharmacy technicians as needed.
• Stay current with pharmacy practice, regulations, and industry trends through required training.
• Adhere to all corporate policies, OHS, loss‑prevention, and continuous‑quality‑improvement processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from a recognized institution.
• Licensed Pharmacist in good standing with the Alberta College of Pharmacists.
• Current certification in injection administration and First Aid.
