Production Worker – Bottling & Cellar Operations

About the role

Jost Vineyards is seeking a full‑time Production Worker to join its North Shore facility in Nova Scotia. You will support bottling and canning lines, and may also be cross‑trained to work in the cellar, handling wine‑related tasks throughout the year.

Key responsibilities

• Operate bottling and canning lines, loading and unloading bottles or cans.
• Monitor label, capsule and cork quality, alerting the team to any defects or low inputs.
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe cellar environment, including sanitising tanks and hoses.
• Assist with wine‑related tasks such as pumping, tank additions, and cellar cleaning.
• Participate in harvest activities on the crush pad, including weighing grapes, operating crushers, de‑stemmer, presses and cleaning equipment.

Required profile

• Highly motivated with a strong work ethic and ability to work well in a team.
• Physically capable of regular demanding work, lifting up to 50 lb and working at heights.
• Willingness to live in or commute to rural North Shore, Nova Scotia.
• Flexible to work long hours and weekends during harvest periods.

Required skills

• WHMIS training (or willingness to be trained).
• Forklift operation certification (or willingness to be trained).
• Confined space training (or willingness to be trained).
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions on production equipment.
