About the role
Join Canada Post’s dynamic mail operations in Parksville. As a temporary, on‑call Postal Clerk you’ll work flexible shifts—including days, evenings, overnights and weekends—while gaining valuable experience in mail handling, parcel dispatch and the broader business of mail operations.
Key responsibilities
- Receive and accept mail items.
- Sort, scan, sequence and batch mail items.
- Transfer and load a postal truck.
- Transfer and dispatch parcels and packets.
- Complete reports and documentation.
- Lift mail items weighing up to 22.7 kilograms (50 lbs).
- Perform other postal clerk duties as required.
Required profile
- No experience necessary.
- Experience working in a production environment is an asset.
- Ability to lift up to 22.7 kg.
- Flexible availability for days, evenings, overnights and weekends.
- English language essential.
