Postal Clerk

About the role

Canada Post is seeking a motivated Postal Clerk to join its mail operations team in Dryden, Ontario. This full‑time, permanent position offers a flexible schedule with the possibility to work days, evenings, overnights and weekends, providing a great entry point into the postal industry.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and accept incoming mail items.
• Sort, scan, sequence and batch mail for processing.
• Load and transfer mail onto postal trucks.
• Dispatch parcels and packets to the appropriate routes.
• Complete required reports and documentation.
• Lift mail items weighing up to 22.7 kg (50 lb).
• Perform additional postal clerk duties as needed.

Required profile

• Ability to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and nights.
• Physical capability to lift up to 50 lb repeatedly.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling mail.
• No prior experience required; a production‑environment background is an asset.
