Plant Mechanic – Industrial Maintenance

About the role

Linde Canada is seeking a Plant Mechanic to ensure the reliable operation of automated plants across Quebec and Ontario. You will work independently on a variety of mechanical systems, providing hands‑on maintenance and troubleshooting to keep production running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute preventive and corrective maintenance on industrial equipment.
• Perform heavy mechanical tasks on compressors, motors, pumps, blowers, automated valves, cooling systems and process piping.
• Monitor and support the operation of air‑separation units and other production equipment.
• Travel to multiple plant sites (approximately 30% of the time) and be available for on‑call support.

Required profile

• Vocational diploma in Electromechanics, Mechanics or a related field.
• 3‑5 years of experience maintaining industrial equipment.
• Bilingual proficiency in French and English.
• Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel within Quebec and Ontario.
• Self‑reliant, meticulous and able to work with minimal supervision.

Required skills

• Maintenance of compressors, pumps, blowers, automated valves, cooling systems and motors.
• Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), instrumentation and electrical systems.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and optimization abilities.
• Use of heavy‑duty mechanical tools in an industrial environment.
