Pharmacy Assistant – 1 Year Full‑Time Contract

About the role

We are seeking a Pharmacy Assistant to join our team on a 1‑year full‑time contract. Working under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist, you will help process prescriptions, manage billing, and support inventory and warehouse operations.

Key responsibilities

• Enter prescription data, track drug lot numbers and expiry dates using Kroll software.
• Assist with prescription adjudication, refill processing, and third‑party insurance billing.
• Prepare and label medications for review, document lot and expiry information, and compile compounding sheets.
• Maintain accurate inventory levels, perform cycle counts, and manage stock rotation.
• Coordinate medication shipments, schedule deliveries, and handle adverse event reporting.
• Communicate with patients, healthcare teams, and external stakeholders to resolve billing issues and ensure timely delivery.

Required profile

• Pharmacy Assistant Certificate or Diploma from an accredited institution.
• Ability to work under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
• Strong attention to detail and adherence to federal, provincial and local regulations.

Required skills

• Kroll prescription software proficiency.
