Part‑Time Registered Nurse – Outpatient Procedure Suites

About the role

Oak Valley Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Surgical System team in the Outpatient Procedure Suites (OPS) at Markham Stouffville Hospital. This part‑time, fixed‑term position runs until approximately July 2027 and focuses on delivering safe, patient‑centered care for endoscopy, urologic, and minor surgical procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care for endoscopy procedures such as colonoscopy, gastroscopy, ERCP, and bronchoscopy.
• Assist with urologic surgeries including TURP, laser stone extraction, and cystoscopy, as well as minor procedures from plastic and ENT specialties.
• Participate actively in patient safety initiatives and advocate for patients throughout their care journey.
• Collaborate with an interprofessional team to ensure seamless service delivery.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse with a valid College of Nurses of Ontario registration.
• Minimum two years of experience in an endoscopy‑related environment.
• Current BCLS certification.
• Strong communication, critical‑thinking, and prioritisation skills.
