Part‑time Pharmacist – Seniors Care

About the role

Sage Medical Center is seeking a part‑time pharmacist to join its senior‑care focused community pharmacy. You will work on weekends and one weekday, providing medication management, clinical services, and vaccine administration to residents of retirement and supportive living communities.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise, train and support pharmacy staff to ensure high customer service and operational efficiency.
• Manage staff scheduling, conduct performance reviews and implement workflow improvements.
• Oversee all pharmacy operations to maintain compliance with provincial and federal regulations.
• Provide clinical services such as medication reviews, adaptations, and prescribing for specific conditions.
• Process and review prescriptions, identify drug‑therapy problems and collaborate with healthcare professionals.
• Offer patient counseling, recommend OTC products, vitamins and supplements.
• Administer vaccines and other medications in accordance with BC Pharmacy Regulations.

Required profile

• Licensed and in good standing with the College of Pharmacists of BC.
• Certified to administer injections in BC.
• Current OAT training certification from the College of Pharmacists of BC.
• Familiarity with the Kroll Program, Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Strong commitment to professionalism and patient care.
• Self‑directed, able to work independently and meet deadlines.
