About the role

The General Directorate of Côte‑Nord is hiring 20 public‑works laborers for seasonal and regular positions across multiple service centres in the region. You will work on large‑scale projects that directly affect daily life, maintaining and improving the road network.

Key responsibilities

• Repair and replace culverts, foundations and safety elements.
• Operate light construction equipment such as pneumatic hammers and vibrating plates.
• Perform work at height, including formwork, concrete placement and cleaning.
• Spread bituminous material and install road slabs.
• Maintain drainage structures, clear storm‑water sewers and clean pits.
• Trim or remove trees, dig and backfill trenches.
• Load, unload and handle heavy materials.
• Control traffic during road works.
• Receive and verify materials on site.
• Assist with surveying and measurement tasks.
• Drive light vehicles or vans as required.

Required profile

• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and use personal protective equipment.
• Physical stamina for manual labour and lifting heavy objects.
• Flexibility to work day, evening or night shifts.
