Operations Officer – Financial Transfers

About the role

The Operations Officer III will support back‑office operations for a leading financial services client. This three‑month contract focuses on processing high volumes of financial transfers while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and adherence to service‑level agreements.

Key responsibilities

• Process and review 50–100 financial transfers and transactions daily with high accuracy.
• Perform end‑to‑end back‑office operational support with minimal supervision.
• Validate and process transfer requests in line with internal policies and SLAs.
• Respond to and resolve escalations from sales and front‑end teams promptly.
• Maintain compliance with operational procedures and data‑security standards.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders while primarily working independently.
• Maintain detailed records and ensure timely completion of assigned tasks.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in banking or financial institution operations.
• Strong background in transaction and transfer processing in a back‑office environment.
• Experience in SLA‑driven, high‑volume operational roles.
• Post‑secondary certification or equivalent education.
• Preferred exposure to investment products such as GICs, stocks, and mutual funds.
• Ability to work in a hybrid model (4 days onsite, 1 day remote).
