Nursing Associate – Adult Integrated Respiratory Team

About the role

The Adult Integrated Respiratory (AIR) Team in East Berkshire is seeking a Nursing Associate to support specialist care for patients with long‑term respiratory conditions across home, community and hospital settings. This role offers a supportive learning environment with dedicated induction, competency training and multidisciplinary supervision.

Key responsibilities

• Provide planned care under the supervision of a registered clinical practitioner, ensuring safety and adherence to scope of practice.
• Conduct home‑based follow‑up assessments and deliver patient education during pulmonary rehabilitation sessions.
• Assist with assessment and safety visits for patients on home oxygen, receiving training as required.
• Deliver training to patients, families, carers and students, including use of digital monitoring tools.
• Maintain the in‑hospital database and support national audit data collection (e.g., COPD, asthma audits).

Required profile

• Full UK driving licence and access to a car (essential).
• Commitment to person‑centred, compassionate care for respiratory patients.
• Willingness to work across acute and community settings under supervision.
