Master 150T Domestic Marine Operator (Contract)

About the role

We are seeking a certified Master 150T Domestic to support marine operations for the 2026 field season. The contractor will be responsible for safe navigation and operation of vessels, coordinating barge activities, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Safely operate and navigate vessels within the limits of a Master 150T Domestic certification.
• Oversee daily vessel operations including transport, positioning, and coordination with project teams.
• Ensure compliance with Transport Canada regulations and company safety standards.
• Conduct pre‑trip inspections and maintain vessel logs and documentation.
• Coordinate closely with marine crew, engineers, and project personnel.
• Support loading, unloading, and general barge or marine operations as required.
• Respond to operational issues, weather conditions, and emergencies as needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized vessel.

Required profile

• Valid Master 150T Domestic certification.
• Knowledge of Transport Canada maritime regulations.
• Experience operating vessels in domestic waters.
• Ability to perform pre‑trip inspections and keep accurate logs.
• Strong situational awareness to handle weather changes and emergencies.
