Long Haul Truck Driver

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Long Haul Truck Driver to join our transportation team. The role involves driving as part of a two‑person crew or convoy, transporting goods across national and international routes, and ensuring the safe delivery of cargo.

Key responsibilities

• Drive straight or articulated trucks, including dry bulk, refrigerated, and extended‑length tractor‑trailers.
• Load and unload goods, record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption.
• Perform pre‑trip, en‑route and post‑trip inspections, brake adjustments, and emergency roadside repairs.
• Oversee vehicle condition, inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold‑storage equipment and conduct preventive maintenance.
• Communicate with central dispatch, operate GPS and other navigation equipment.

Required profile

• Secondary school graduation or equivalent.
• Valid Class 1 or A driver’s licence with Air‑Brake (Z) endorsement.
• Willingness to travel cross‑border, internationally and overnight for extended periods.
• Ability to handle heavy loads and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Excellent oral communication, reliability and teamwork orientation.

Required skills

• Air‑Brake (Z) endorsement.
• Class 1 or A driver’s licence.
• Operation of manual‑transmission trucks.
• GPS navigation and communication‑system usage.
• Truck inspection, brake adjustment and basic roadside repair.
