Labor Attorney – Remote Contract (Hourly)

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Labor Attorney to join our remote legal team on a contract basis. You will work directly with our AI research platform to create and evaluate realistic employment‑law scenarios, helping improve the quality of our legal AI models.

Key responsibilities

• Design realistic workplace case studies covering EEOC charges, severance and non‑compete agreements, harassment investigations, wage‑and‑hour analyses, NLRB matters and employment policies.
• Write “golden” reference responses at attorney‑level quality for each scenario.
• Grade AI‑generated answers against detailed rubrics and provide written feedback to the research team.
• Participate in onboarding office hours and specialty calibration sessions to align model behavior with legal standards.

Required profile

• 1–4 years of professional experience in employment or labor law (law firm, in‑house, government agency or labor union).
• J.D. (U.S./Canada) or LL.B./LL.M. (U.K.) from an accredited law school.
• Active or inactive license to practice law in the U.S., Canada or the U.K.
• Strong experience with EEOC charge responses, wage‑and‑hour analysis, severance and non‑compete drafting, harassment investigations, employee handbook creation, NLRB proceedings or collective bargaining.
• Excellent written communication and meticulous attention to detail.

Required skills

• Class‑action or wage‑and‑hour collective experience (preferred).
• Workplace investigation certification (e.g., AWI‑CH) (preferred).
• Multi‑state employment compliance knowledge (preferred).
• Familiarity with HRIS or case‑management tools (preferred).

• Hourly compensation ranging from $85 to $120.
