Hospital Pharmacist – Ottawa

About the role

The Ottawa Hospital is seeking a qualified Pharmacist to join its multi‑campus team. You will work in a dynamic, teaching‑focused environment delivering safe and effective medication therapy to patients across Eastern Ontario, Western Quebec and Eastern Nunavut.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive drug therapy management and counseling for in‑patients.
• Supervise, coach and mentor pharmacy staff and students.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses and allied health professionals to optimise medication use.
• Participate in clinical rounds, medication safety initiatives and research projects.
• Maintain accurate medication records using hospital information systems.

Required profile

• Baccalaureate of Science in Pharmacy from a recognised university or equivalent training/experience.
• Registration with the Ontario College of Pharmacists (unrestricted Part A licence).
• Eligibility to work in Canada.
• Strong written and verbal communication, teaching and interpersonal abilities.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of modern hospital care and drug therapy.
• Experience with word processing, spreadsheet and database applications.
