Geotechnical Driller (Fixed-Term On-Call)

About the role

Geotech Drilling, a leading geotechnical drilling company in western Canada, is seeking experienced Geotechnical Drillers to join its on‑site teams. This fixed‑term, on‑call position offers the chance to work on diverse projects across the region while developing advanced drilling skills.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor pressure gauges, feed/weight indicators and assess return material for volume, colour and consistency.
• Apply appropriate sampling techniques based on project and client specifications.
• Maintain accurate records as required by clients and the company.
• Operate, troubleshoot and maintain drill rigs and ancillary equipment such as trucks, pumps, heaters, compressors and mud recirculation systems.
• Supervise the Drill Assistant and crew to ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental standards.
• Ensure equipment, supplies and tooling are organized and ready for each shift.

Required profile

• Valid Class 5 driver’s licence.
• 3–5 years of experience in geotechnical or environmental drilling.
• Ability to diagnose and repair small mechanical equipment.
• Willingness to complete a pre‑employment drug and alcohol test.
