About the role
BC Cancer in Victoria is seeking a General Practitioner to join its Radiation Oncology team. The role involves providing ambulatory and in‑patient care to oncology patients within a multidisciplinary environment.
Key responsibilities
- Collaborate with radiation oncologists and allied health professionals in the treatment of cancer patients.
- Deliver ambulatory care, follow‑up consultations and support in‑patient oncology services.
- Participate in virtual and in‑clinic training programmes to develop radiation oncology expertise.
- Contribute to multidisciplinary case discussions and patient care planning.
Required profile
- Eligibility for full licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia (FRCP, FRCS or CCFP).
- Eligibility for appointment to the medical staff of BC Cancer, Royal Jubilee Hospital and the University of British Columbia.
- Commitment to Indigenous cultural safety and reconciliation initiatives.
- In‑patient and oncology experience is an asset but not mandatory.
